Are YOU a bucket filler?  Before you answer that question, maybe I should fill you in on what a bucket filler is! Every single person in the world has an invisible bucket that he or she carries around every day.  This bucket is filled with good thoughts and feelings.  Your bucket fills up when others say or do kind things to you, or when you say or do kind things to others!  Your bucket empties a little bit each time someone says or does something unkind to you, or when you say or do unkind things to others.  When your bucket is full, you feel happy!  We try to be bucket fillers each day in our classroom.  One way we do this is by filling out bucket slips to encourage students to be kind, caring, productive members of our classroom community.  Check this page for a constantly changing sample of ways we are filling up each other's buckets...
